Social Media Safety
A recent news article out of Alabama shares important information about social media apps parents should know about. Popular platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, Kik, and several more can allow others to see your location, enable chatting with strangers, "rating" of others, cyberbullying, and more. It is important to set expectations and limits, monitor your child's social media activity, and talk to your child about how to recognize internet hoaxes, like the recently-resurfacing "Momo" or other challenges that reportedly encourage children to engage in unsafe behaviors, including self-harm.
