Spotlight: Shenandoah Valley Farm2Fork Affair

'Tis the season! Happy Holidays from Augusta County Economic Development! We wish you all the best as we count down to Christmas and New Year's.

Another countdown is on as well. On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, the first-ever Shenandoah Valley Farm2Fork Affair (Farm2Fork) will be held, providing Shenandoah Valley farm and food producers an opportunity to directly promote their products to commercial buyers. Previously, smaller sub-regional Farm2Fork expos were held in regions around the Shenandoah Valley, including the Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro metro in 2016 (pictures below). We're now connecting all Valley regions for this biennial one-day event to showcase the Shenandoah Valley as a farm-to-table hub to buyers from around the Commonwealth, DC metro area and other neighboring states.

Farm2Fork is a collaborative effort of economic development agencies, tourism departments, business development organizations, and local food initiatives. Restaurants, universities, retailers, grocers, distribution centers, full-service hotels, bed and breakfasts, and other buyers are invited to sample the best of the Shenandoah Valley.

We want to encourage every Augusta County producer interested in increasing commercial food sales to commercial buyers to participate! If you have not received an invitation, please let us know.

Again, happy holidays, and cheers to the producers that make those full-to-the-brim holiday feasting tables possible!
