Following services Sunday stop by the Glenn Gallery to select a beautiful Poinsettia to deliver to members who are home-bound or reside in assisted living/nurse care homes. A special invitation goes out to folks with children – children can be spectacular ambassadors of the church! The name and address of a parishioner to visit is provided.

Sign Up for Faith and Friendship Dinners
Registration is open now through January 8 for this new small-group adult ministry at St. Luke’s that is an outgrowth of the Invite-Welcome-Connect program.
Each week’s dinner will have a theme and a casual, general structure will facilitate discussion. Sharing personal faith stories helps us to deepen our own faith, and hearing others’ stories of God’s presence in their lives brings us into deeper friendship with each other.
You can sign up online or in the Reception Area on Sunday mornings. Dinners will be held at 12 host homes located throughout the metro Atlanta area, beginning Monday, January 21, and running through Thursday, February 28; and you are asked to register with the intention of attending all six gatherings. More information is available online or you can contact Sue McAvoy (
smcavoy@emory.edu
) or team members Jeanne Daniels, Brooks Franklin, Brittany Huet, Bob Just, Ginna McFarling, Panke and Peter Miller, Jason O’Rouke, John Stewart, or Jacquie Watts.

Just come to Room 201 beginning at 3:15 p.m. to pick out a costume. Once dressed for the occasion, the children will head to the Hamilton Room, where volunteers “entertain” the kids while they wait for the service to begin. Advent Update on the Boyce L. Ansley School |Kate Kennedy | Parish Hall
During the Season of Advent, we wait, and it is not always easy. At The Boyce L Ansley School, we have found that our families spend a lot of time waiting....waiting for a meal, waiting for a train, waiting for a home, waiting for a break. Since we opened our doors, we have truly become a family, and so, we wait together. We invite you to come hear about our progress, our challenges, and our greatest surprises as we reflect on 3 months of learning and waiting.
Compass Gathering | Library
This is an informal time the third Sunday of the month for newcomers to meet people and find out more about the mission, programs, and ministry of St. Luke’s. If you are new to St. Luke’s and want to learn more about the church, join us! Contact Mark Simmons (
mark@stlukesatlanta.org | 404-873-7624) if you have questions.
Bible Study on the Sunday Scripture | Parkins Room
Further explore God’s Word in the scripture assigned for worship each Sunday. We all see the world through the filter of life experience and life transitions. This Bible Study is designed to engage us in a deeper exploration of the day’s texts, acknowledging the lens of life experiences we bring to that study. No preparation necessary. Drop in as you are able. This class invites you to come, engage the Scripture and respond to God’s word.
The Sunday Papers | St. Luke Room
Join Jonathan Serrie and Allison Kopp for a free-flowing discussion about current events, faith and their intersection in our daily lives. Our discussions each week will be informed by scripture, national or local news sources. All views, thoughts and opinions are welcomed and encouraged.
