An Update from the Interim Pastor Search Committee
|
The members of your Interim Pastor Search Committee want to keep the congregation updated on our determined efforts to find the best intentional interim pastor for our church. The committee has met several times already and will continue to meet weekly until we have found that right person. We have received our required training from the Charlotte Presbytery and have begun crafting a job description for the position, using our church’s strategic plan as a starting point. Although we strongly desire an inspiring leader in the pulpit, we are even more impassioned to find a pastor who can help our church unpack its strengths and weaknesses, acknowledging that this work is necessary to be prepared to welcome our next senior pastor for a long-term stay at our church.

Please join us for Dedication Sunday where we will commit our time, talent, and treasure for the coming year as well as re-dedicate our worship space through special liturgy and music offered by the Sanctuary Choir and on the organ by Jacquie Yost. This will be a joyful Sunday to give thanks for the many good gifts that God has given us, and all are invited to share in "the joy of giving" as we dedicate our gifts to God. After worship, we will continue the celebration, with lunch and fellowship together during our picnic on the Church grounds. There is fun for the whole family with music and games on the lawn!
Please bring a blanket or folding chairs
. Don't miss the fun! To ensure that we have enough food, please sign up
here.
