The 2018 Colorado State Fair is right around the corner! The Fair will take place from August 24th - September 3rd, 2018. This years entertainment includes the PRCA & Ranch Rodeos, Toughest Monster Truck Tour, Demolition Derby, and musical performances from Old Dominion, Josh Gracin, Joan Jett, Overton Road & Oak Ridge Boys, just to name a few. If you haven't joined or renewed the 1872 or Buckle Club Membership, be sure to do so soon to experience the Fair like you never have before - VIP style!

Proceeds from membership benefit the Colorado State Fair Foundation and our efforts to enhance youth programming, education and experiences at the Colorado State Fair. The 3rd Annual Partners of Youth in Ag
Golf Tournament
The 2018 Partners of Youth in Ag Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 24 at the Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo. The tournament is a 4-person scramble, with prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers. Registration starts at 7:00 AM, followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 AM. There is a $100 per player entry fee, which includes green fees, cart rental, range balls, food and refreshments. There are also multiple levels of sponsorship opportunities available for this event. 100% of the proceeds will go toward the Foundation's mission - to enhance youth programming, education & experiences at the Colorado State Fair.

The Sip 2018:
A tasting event with Colorado's own wineries, breweries, and distilleries
Join us to support youth experiences at the Colorado State Fair, all while enjoying an evening of tastings from Colorado wineries, breweries, and distilleries, food, live music, and live auction at a truly unique western venue. All proceeds benefit youth programming, education & experiences at the Colorado State Fair. The Sip will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame & Museum of the American Cowboy, located at 101 Pro Rodeo Dr. in Colorado Springs. The Colorado State Fair Foundation Outstanding Service Award
Nominations Now Open
Since 2012, the Colorado State Fair Foundation has been busy building programs for youth as well as raising capital for renovation projects throughout the state fairgrounds. The Foundation has completed over $350,000 in capital renovation projects, including the Growing Minds 4-H and FFA dormitories and Livestock Pavilion. The Foundation has also raised more than $1,000,000 in the past 6 years to support youth programs and more specifically youth involved in 4-H and FFA.

The Colorado State Fair Foundation Outstanding Service Award recognizes the exceptional leadership of an individual in providing, promoting, or advocating for Colorado Youth. The Foundation's Outstanding Service Award Selection Committee calls for nominations that recognize outstanding service made to further our mission to enhance youth programming, education and experiences at the Colorado State Fair.

Award winners will receive a personal plaque to commemorate their accomplishment, reserved table at the Foundation Fall Fundraising Event, The Sip, and their name displayed on a plaque in the Colorado State Fair Foundation Membership Club. Junior Livestock Sale Alumni Buyers Group
The Foundation's Alumni Buyers Group is a buyers group that consists of past, current, and future 4-H and FFA members that have sold an animal at the Colorado State Fair Junior Livestock Sale. This alumni buyers group will give exhibitors the opportunity to stay involved and continue to support up and coming youth agriculture. There will be an annual brunch hosted by the Colorado State Fair Foundation to congratulate our youth on making the State Fair Sale as well as getting them involved with the Alumni Buyers Group. 

To become a new member or renew your current membership in the Colorado State Fair Alumni Buyers Group you will need to contribute an annual minimum of $25.00. All proceeds will be pooled to purchase animals at the Junior Livestock Sale the following year. Your annual contribution will allow you to attend the Exhibitor's Brunch and the Junior Livestock Sale each year at the Colorado State Fair. The Exhibitor's Brunch and the 2018 Junior Livestock Sale will take place during the State Fair on Tuesday, August 28th. Meet the Colorado State Fair Foundation 2018 Outreach Intern, Trent Kelly
Trent is a native of Pueblo and 2018 graduate of Colorado State University - Pueblo, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. He is the son of Todd and Laura Kelly. Trent's hobbies include playing video games, pick-up basketball, and making music with his friends. He also enjoys learning about history and other cultures, as well as spending time with his family.

Trent is extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the Foundation, and gain some much needed knowledge and experience along the way to help him with his future endeavors. He hopes that he can help the Foundation as much as it can help him.
