GREETINGS!
Registration is on-going for many winter programs including ice skating lessons, indoor baseball, indoor softball, indoor soccer, and more. Monday, December 17 is the last day to submit your registration forms and payment for ski or snowboard lessons at Thunder Ridge. Information is now available for our annual snow sculpture contest, see below. Please check out the additional activities planned for the Civic Centers and Ice Rink for the holiday break.

The Parks and Recreation Office at Town Hall, the Civic Centers, and the Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink will be CLOSED December 25 for Christmas. Have a wonderful holiday!

Snow Sculpture Contest
Greenwich Recreation and the Greenwich Arts Council ask you to create your best snow sculpture during this winter season. Then submit a photo for an opportunity to win a prize.

Youth Sports
Registration continues for several indoor sports for youth which begin in January. Register now to secure your spot! A
Softball Clinic will be held for girls ages 7-14. Boys ages 7-10 can participate in a
Baseball Clinic.
In cooperation with
Soccer Extreme, we are offering
Co-ed Soccer on three different days per week at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center.

Adult Winter Sports
Registration for
Platform Tennis membership continues. We now offer three-month memberships for a fee of $180.00 each season.

Registration for Session 2 of Skate School has begun as of December 10. Lessons begin the first week of January. Don't delay in registering, as sections fill up quickly!

National Alliance for Youth Sports
|
Greenwich Recreation is a member organization of
NAYS. We provide free training through the NAYS website to our staff and volunteers and any resident interested in learning how to make sports better for youth. For their latest news and updates,

Eastern Greenwich Civic Center
Holiday roller skating night is December 21 and additional afternoon skate sessions will be held on December 16 and 27. The EGCC has several on-going programs including
Greenwich Archery, Green Moon Children's Art Studio, Wednesday Painters, fitness classes, and Friday night roller skating.
Registration for winter pickleball play and instructional clinics has begun; see details in the Adult Winter Sports section above.

Bendheim Western Civic Center
Yoga classes and
Zumba classes are offered on several weekdays at varying times.
Pickleball is offered for adults on a drop-in basis on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-12 noon and on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons
|
LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER! Complete registration with payment is due to Greenwich Recreation by December 17. Participants provide their own transportation. Checks must be made payable to "THUNDER RIDGE" but delivered in person to: Greenwich Parks and Recreation. Lessons are for skiers and snowboarders, first grade and up.

Special Recreation
Registration is now open for many
inclusive programs to be held at the Stamford JCC this winter. The JCC welcomes all! Call 203-487-0946 to register.
Abilis meets the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Their events are posted on their
website calendar.
Greenwich Special Olympics offers sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual or physical challenges.

Farmers Market
The
Greenwich Farmers Market is open two more Saturdays through December 22 from 9:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the municipal parking lot at the corner of Horseneck Lane and Arch Street.

Credit & Refund Policy
Credit requests for recreation program registration will be considered if received in writing prior to the start of the program. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for credits. The general policy of the Recreation Division is that we do not process refunds unless a program has been cancelled. Please read all registration information carefully and contact us prior to registering for a program if you have any questions.

Parks and Recreation Foundation
The
Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation was set up to receive donations, allowing the community citizens and businesses an avenue to donate to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation projects and programs. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3).

Please make note of the
Recreation Division's weather cancellation hotline phone # (203) 861-6100. Information regarding cancellations and closures is also posted on our
Recreation Sports Website, where you can also sign up to get text alerts and /or emails notifying you of changes. The hotline phone # is updated before the website.

The Griffith E. Harris Golf Course is CLOSED for the season. We'll see you in the spring!
The Parks and Recreation Office at Town Hall is generally open for business hours on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
