Children's Ministry Activities for Sunday, March 3rd: Bless, Love, Serve
Children will follow the Star when we take up the bread and wine, celebrating the Last Sunday of Epiphany.  At Chapel we will have heard how Jesus showed himself as the Light of the World.  We love following Christ's light as we try to bless, love, and serve God and others.  Instead of Sunday School, we are calling all children (PreK - Grade 5) to meet in the Grade 1-3 classroom (Lower Level) immediately following the 10 AM Service.  We are going to be blessings to others as the older children help the younger ones pack breakfast bags for hungry neighbors served by Bethesda Cares.  We will also share our joy with others as we decorate cardboard lunchboxes for Senior Volunteers at Seabury Senior Services.  When the Annual Meeting concludes, the children will join the meeting assembly and lead us all in Grace before our potluck luncheon.

Episcopal Relief and Development Sunday The first Sunday of Lent, March 10 this year, has been designated Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) Sunday throughout the Episcopal Church.  Our generosity makes us an important part of ERD's work in strengthening communities and our bonds with one another.  Each year, more than three million people in nearly 40 countries participate in innovative, locally led programs that boost harvests while protecting the environment, prevent diseases by mobilizing local volunteers and empower people to build livelihoods through financial and skills training.  ERD also supports disaster preparedness and response efforts, internationally and throughout the United States.  Learn more about ERD's programs by visiting www.episcopalrelief.org.  Please mark your check with ERD in the memo line and use the special ERD outreach envelope in the pews.  Episcopal Relieve and Development - Healing a hurting world.
