Dr. Bisant Labib Named Diplomate of American Academy of Optometry
Bisant Labib, OD, FAAO, assistant professor and co-chief of Suite 3 in the Primary Care Services at The Eye Institute, was recently named a Diplomate in the Comprehensive Eye Care section of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) - making her the youngest woman ever to reach such an accomplishment.
 
"It was a challenging, yet extremely rewarding, process and it's truly an honor to be among a group of dedicated and well-rounded clinicians to represent optometry in the area of comprehensive eye care," she said.

Salus Continues to Give Back

For the thirteenth year, dedicated volunteers from Salus and Culinart Café staff will wake up early on Thanksgiving Day to cook and deliver holiday meals to local police departments and the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society in Cheltenham, Pa.

Originally launched in 2005 by Esther Colón, bursar, and another colleague, the meals come with all the expected trimmings, including dessert. "We wanted to give back to our community, and we decided to start with the Cheltenham Police Department, which has over 30 officers on duty on Thanksgiving Day," Colón said.
