What's Happening at SBC?
  • Our Grades 2 and 3 students hosted a Multicultural Fair. Parents and guests were treated to traditional foods, dress and  artifacts  from around the globe. Students worked hard on their projects, and learned so much about being a global citizen.
  • On Wednesday, Feb. 27, our school held our annual Pink Shirt Day, focussing on kindness and standing up against bullying. Students participated in many activities with their "sibling class", class partnerships between older and younger students. Moving forward, our students are going to focus on Random Acts of Kindness to help our school continue to be "A Great Place To Be"!
  • Congratulations to Liza K '21 on winning the Junior Instrumental Rose Bowl in the Kiwanis Music Festival!
Our Grade 2-3 Multicultural Fair had a great turnout!

Staff and Students showed their support of our kindness initiatives by wearing pink on Feb. 27.
  • Fr. Earl Smith, SJ, of St. Pius X Parish has been doing a series of Teaching Masses with our students, helping them to learn the parts of the Mass and the importance of worship.
  • Our Annual Science Fair was a huge success! Thank you to organizer Ms. Windsor and all science teachers who facilitated the day and helped guide students through some amazing projects! For a list of winners, click here.
  • Congratulations to Moroti A. '26 and Clare F. '25 for winning our in-school Grades 4-9 Spelling Bee, and representing us at the St. John's Telegram Regional Spelling Bee!

Fr. Earl, SJ (and his puppet!) helping our Grade 1's learn about that parts of Mass.

Science Fair judge and Board Member, Andrew Smith, with Oilivia S. '24, Mara P. '23, Jasmine B. '23 and Henley M. '23, winners of the "Best in Fair" categories.
