SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ‘TRANSFORMERS: INFLUENCERS UNLEASHED’ THEME
The Above the Influence-Kent County Youth Coalition Brand Ambassadors selected ‘TRANSFORMERS: Influencers Unleashed’ as the theme for the 2019 KCPC Above the Influence-Kent County Youth Summit. ‘TRANSFORMERS: Influencers Unleashed’ is designed to inspire youth to: [1] Overcome life obstacles, [2] Redefine their future, [3] Build the character and tenacity needed to achieve one’s dreams, [4] Overcome pop culture messages that suggest that alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are not harmful and [5] Walk free from stigma, shame, and past mistakes. This year’s theme speaks to the Summit’s goal of empowering every attendee to excel individually, lead socially and revolutionize their families, schools and community by living Above the Influence.
