March 1st, 2019

Over the past few weeks, we've been sharing our stories about life-changing encounters with Jesus. This week for Long Story Short, we're taking a look at a man who encounters the freedom, power and call of Jesus in a wild, profound way. As we continue to share our stories with those around us and further endeavor to share the Gospel with a world that needs to know, there's a lot for us to glean from this man's unusual run-in with the Messiah, so don't miss out! Come worship with us this Sunday!

Pastor Jeff will be in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Pastor Trevor will be in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services. See you Sunday!

Ash Wednesday Service

On March 6th, join us for our Ash Wednesday service in the Sanctuary. The Lenten Season or Lent refers to the forty-day period leading up to Easter. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, and ends the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Lent is a time when Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation, giving up of habits, and spiritual discipline. Begin Lent with us by receiving the imposition of ashes. There will not be programming in MKids but there will be childcare for children 3 years and under. Children are welcome to attend the service with their parents. Student Programming for Middle School will meet as normal.

Membership Class

Our next class will be March 17th from 3 to 5 in the Fellowship Hall (East Building). Come learn more about Mt. Horeb and have the opportunity to join at the end of the class. You can register online at www.mthorebumc.com/membership/.

Concerts At Mt Horeb

Don't miss our next concert on March 31st at 7:00pm. We are thrilled to have The Isaacs, a bluegrass southern gospel group, with us for a second time. Those that came to see them several years ago, will tell you this is not a concert you want to miss. Tickets are available now at concerts.mthorebumc.com

Midweek

It is our hope that the sermon you hear on the weekend is the first word in a conversation that takes place throughout your week. MidWeek is your place to do just that. Join others on Wednesday night at 6:15, as we dive deeper into the sermon from the week before and wrestle with how it ought to show up in our lives. If you are new to the church or are looking for a place to get connected, MidWeek is where it's at.             .

Share your #LongStoryShort

As a church, we're committed to making, maturing and mobilizing disciples who magnify Jesus Christ. All of us have unique stories of God's unrelenting faithfulness and love. Our stories may take all shapes, sizes, tones and turns, but they all testify to the living presence of God and His unfailing love and character. It's time to share your story!

How have you encountered the saving love of Jesus? When have you experienced God's provision, healing, protection, etc.?

Our goal is to be a church of people readily equipped to share our personal testaments to Jesus' saving love to a world that needs to know.
Join in and let's share our stories!
