Dear Coaches,
I hope your 2018 has started off well!
We had an exciting kickoff to our 2018 ICF NYC Chapter programs. On January 17th we launched our Chapter's volunteer program. Our goal was to share the many opportunities for you to get involved. Even if you were not able to attend, there are still plenty of ways for you to participate and share your talents and support for our community.
Here is a quick glimpse into how you can get involved and stay tuned for a follow-up email describing the specific opportunities.
- Join/lead a Board committee:(Professional Development, Special Events: March 20th, Coach Salon, Summer Social, Holiday Party, etc.)
- Community Outreach: IGNITE program: NYCHA, The Parris Foundation, Hoboken School District
- CoachCafé!
- Membership
- Social Media
- Pro bono laser coaching: Introduce the power of coaching to two organizations; March for DCAT's Women in Pharma (Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association), WICT (Women In Cable Telecommunications) October 2018
- International Coach Week (ICW)- May 2018
I would really like to give a shout out and a huge THANK YOU to Angelo Moultair who has stepped up and has taken the role of Social Media Chair. I asked Angelo to share a few words about the committee and his vision for this initiative and here is what he had to share.
"Given how important and impactful social media has become in recent years and at the same time coaching trending in the same direction, it made perfect sense to combine the two with our newest committee, Social Media.
The Social Media committee will serve you around the following four areas: Development- keeping you in the know with industry best practices; Engagement- keeping you informed on what is happening and how you can take part; Educating the market place about coaching and the amazing talent we have to tap into; and Recognition of the great things happening in the NYC Chapter, such as accreditation, featured members, and the many other ways there are of shining a light on your great work you put in to make our chapter great!
If you would like to be apart of the member-focused effort please contact me at angelojmoultair@gmail.com or just simply help by following us on LinkedIn or Facebook, with more platforms to come."
Thank you Christine Walsh, ACC, whose webinar on
The Joy of Making Money In Your Coaching Business
introduced us to 1) the 3 biggest myths of making money as a small business owner and how to get beyond them; 2) new perspectives around your relationship with money and how to translate that to revenue with more ease and flow; and 3) unlock the keys to taking aligned action in your business every month.
