Annual Giving Campaign...Rollover!
We are proud to offer the opportunity for our employees to give back to local philanthropic organizations. Through a one-time (deducted each January) or monthly payroll deduction employees can donate any amount to the Republic Community Foundation or to Care to Learn Republic.
Republic Care to Learn addresses health, hunger and hygiene needs for OUR Republic students! All funds go to support REPUBLIC students!
Republic Community Foundation
seeks to promote community betterment for Republic and its citizens through philanthropy, collaboration and a giving spirit. This foundation awards numerous grants to local philanthropic organizations including to Republic teachers. http://cfozarks.org/republic/
If you are a current participant, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE A NEW FORM THIS YEAR. Your donation amount and frequency will be rolled over from last year.
So, if you were a one-time donor, the same amount you asked be deducted in January 2018 will be taken out of your January 2019 pay check. And if you are currently a monthly donor, the amount that currently comes out of your pay check will continue coming out for 2019.
If you want to continue your 2018 donation amounts, NO FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED.
To review your current donation amount, log in to SISFin (requisition portal) and look up your pay stub from January 2018 (for one-time donors) or from any other month if you are a monthly donor. The password to download your pay stubs is the last four digits of your SSN.

change or cancel the frequency or dollar amount you donate, please contact Missy Lester at

December 20.

District Accolade
This is so exciting! Our RepMO Ready technology integration plan that was just completed is being recognized by the national publication, Schools of TechXcellence! The article can be found online
HERE, and credits the district for our "grassroots" approach to providing professional development and training for our teachers and staff before placing devices in classrooms. It also reiterates that in Republic technology is not the focus of lessons in our classrooms. It is simply a tool to help enhance the great instruction taking place to best prepare students for their future. We are so #repmoproud of the RepMO Ready initiative and all who have worked hard to make it successful for the students we serve!

Early Retirement or Resignation Notification Incentive, $1,000 Deadline January 7
In order to secure the best possible candidate pool, the Board of Education is offering an
early retirement or
resignation incentive of $1,000 to any certificated professional staff member who submits retirement or
resignation notification by the end of the day January 7. The
resignation or retirement must be effective for next school year.
This incentive is included in Board of Education policy
GCPB, and will be available annually although the monetary amount is subject to change.

Shop with a Hero Recap
THANK YOU to all who donated to Shop with a Hero! With your help the district raised $1,039.35! On Tuesday night 112 Republic students were able to spend $125 on items of their choosing alongside a local hero, including our very own district security team!

Winter Break
The Republic School District will be closed for Winter Break on December 24-January 1. In addition, students will not attend school on Wednesday, January 2 for a teacher work day. The second semester will begin on Thursday, January 3. For families in need of childcare, Cub Care through the STRIPES 360 program will be available for kindergarten through 8th grade students on limited days throughout this break.
