This weekend, October 19 & 20 is not an R & R weekend as was mistakenly indicated on a previous version of the calendar. The calendar has now been corrected.
Thursday, October 18th- 8th Grade Field trip to the Musical Instrument Museum.

It is very important that all 8th grade students attend the field trip as this is an all day event. Students who stay behind will complete a music related study and essay.

North Phoenix PSO Movie Night
6 PM @ Field
Join us for a free movie on the lawn, featuring the Jungle Book (2016). Bring your own picnic or check out on-campus food trucks, to include Mama's Dogs, Flying Saucer Pizza Company, Ava's Kettle Corn, Tropical Snow and more. Gladiators HS XC Finish Regular Season Strong at Titan Invitational


Our Gladiators High School Cross Country teams finished the regular season with a strong showing at the 5th Annual Titan Invitational. The boys team won the Division 3/Division 4 Varsity race with an impressive margin of victory; Top 3 Teams – NPX 39, Veritas 106, Saguaro 109. Jordan Black led the way with a first place finish and the top time of the entire day at 15:53 for 5k. Richie Johnston came in 7th (16:59 PR), Rocco Berbetti 9th (17:05 PR), Thomas Koska 11th (17:24 PR), Sammy Johnston 17th (17:34), and Aidan Davis 41st (18:44 PR). Dae Han Youn ran a PR (Personal Record) in the boys open race at 24:57.
The girls team placed 8th in the Varsity race and with Juliana Baltram finishing in 9th place overall at 20:57. Katie Herrington came in 38th (23:51 PR), Alina Boorse 46th (24:19 PR), Alana Curtis 72nd (26:38), and Dagny McCrory 82nd (29:04).
Both teams are in position to make some noise at Sectionals on November 1st .
Additional Gladiator News

. . . Two very important events in our schools history.
 
First – On Tuesday evening at 6 pm our varsity volleyball team will be playing for the regional championship vs. NFL Yet
The girls are currently ranked 5 th in state and NFL Yet is ranked 3 rd in the state.
We would love to have each and every one of you in the gym on Tuesday to cheer our girls on to the championship!!!
 
Second – On Thursday at 5:30 pm – just prior to our final home volleyball match of the season – the senior members of the volleyball team will be honored in a senior night ceremony.
This will be a special event as it will be the first one in the history of our school.

Parents, your student’s school pictures have arrived! We will be distributing them during 6 th period on Friday 10/19 so please make sure to ask your student for them. If you missed ordering school pictures they are still available for ordering. Your student will bring home a “Safety Card” which has an access key # that you can use to order their school picture.

Fall 2018 Young Artist Exhibit + Competition

The Young Artist Exhibition + Competition is a segment of Tempe Festival of the Arts in Kids Block where young artists will have the opportunity (for free) to display and sell their work to 225,000+ guests, possibly be recognized as Best of Show, and receive a cash prize! All art pieces submitted will be displayed.
Homecoming is October 27th

Bare midriffs, bare backs (below the bottom of the shoulder blades), and any other “holes” in the gown are not permitted. Sheer or “see-through” fabric over any part of the body required to be covered (midriff, lower back, etc.) is not permitted.
