Join IAWF Connect Series in Southern California

Mixer and Panel Discussion

IAWF Rising Leaders will be hosting a Mixer and Panel Discussion in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  Admission is free, but those who would like to attend should please register for the event. Please click   here  to RSVP.
 


Documentary Movie Screening 

IAWF and  UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture are proud to be collaborating to host a documentary movie screening called, "Tehran Tourist". The screening will take place on Wednesday, November 7 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in HG 1070. The event will also feature a Q&A session with Dr. Roxanne Varzi.

Tamilla Ghodsi is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York where she has worked for over 20 years and co-Heads the Americas Conflicts Resolution Group. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Tamilla practiced tax law at White & Case in New York. She earned a BA, with honors, in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University. She received her JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.

Northern California

Shirin graduated from SF State with a  degree in Computer Information Systems and continued with a Master's Degree from Golden Gate University in Finance/Investments. She has worked as a financial advisor and registered principal for many years with a focus on managing retirement assets of small to medium size companies. In 2014, she received a Vocational Diploma in Intuition Medicine from Academy of Intuition Medicine in Sausalito.

  Southern California

Soheila is the Program Manager at Boeing Satellite Systems in El Segundo, California. Soheila started her career in the aerospace industry in 1980 after graduating from USC with a BS in Electrical Engineering. She worked at Lear Siegler Corp. and then Hughes Space and Communications in El Segundo where she participated in design and development of Satellites including DirectTV. In 1996, she moved to Seattle to work at Teledesic, founded by Craig McCaw and Bill Gates.

Anousha Wickser has lived in Los Angeles for over 30 years. Born in Tehran, Iran, Anousha was educated in France as well as America and holds a degree in Business from the University of Southern California and in Fine Art from American University. Anousha speaks three languages fluently and has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. She has held a variety management positions in banking and real estate as well as a successful career in the hospitality and catering industry. Anousha has devoted significant time and energy to fundraising efforts for educational programs and important charities including the City of Hope, Brandeis University, and the John Wayne Cancer Society.  You can read more on Anousha  here .

Nima Bakhtiary

Nima Bakhtiary is one of the founders of Arbela Technologies and has been President and CEO of the company since October 2006. In 2016, the Orange County Business Journal  named Arbela as one of the "Best Places to Work in Orange County" and recognized Nima as a finalist for the "Innovator of the Year."
