LUNCH ROOM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
News From Nurse Peggy
Dear Parents,

I know this is a difficult time of the year to keep your children healthy. I do ask that you do not send your child/children to school sick. I have been a working mother and know how hard it is to get someone to take care of your sick child. I would like to share with you some DHEC rules regarding illness.

Diarrhea: Your child's symptoms must be resolved for 24 hours from last episode.
Fever: Fever free for 24 hours without using fever reducing medicines.
Vomiting: If vomiting 2 or more times during previous 24 hours and a temperature of 101 ( fever is considered 101 ) , student must stay home until vomiting and fever is gone for 24 hours from onset.

Please keep your children hydrated. Frozen pops, water, ginger ale are just a few recommendations.

The most important caution you can take is to wash your hands with soap and water frequently, especially before eating and do not share cups, utensils or food.
It is always a pleasure to take care of your child/children. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
