From Angie, Chapter President
Greetings everyone - the groundhogs predicted an early spring and golfers are hoping for the turn in weather. A few quick updates for you.

First of all, hope to see many of you at TeeOff. We are looking to grow the Chapter and the best recruitment tool is through existing Members. So invite a friend, a co-worker or someone you meet while shopping for golf stuff.

Our first session at the PGS Tour Superstore was very well received. Plan on join us for the upcoming ones on March 23 and April 6 .   And you are welcome to bring a friend.

Big News from LPGA Amateur Golf Association Headquarters
  •  The Chapter Championship has been renamed to the "Local Championship Qualifier (LCQ)". The $50 entry fee has been removed. (one of the benefits of the new organization)
  • Members receive free grounds admission to LPGA tournaments (exception KPMG and US Open)
  • We will be transitioning the website to a new platform. Hopefully, this will not be an impact to members, but please notify us if there are any issues.
  • The HQ Golf Department will be hosting a Rules webinar on March 26th at 7pm EST to review the new Rules and answer questions. If you are interested, please register by clicking on the LINK
Thank you to all who attended the Chapter Open House and Visioning. The opportunity to get input directly from members and see collaboration between participants is very valuable. Don't be surprised if you get an email from me or if I directly ask you for feedback on an event - we are working to bring new things while keeping some favorites.

I personally invite each member to volunteer for at least one event or activity this year. Our Chapter runs on "volunteer power" and we need your skills to add programs and activities. I am always available to talk to members, please reach out via our email at admin@lpgaamateursmnmetro.com (I check the site daily).

Thanks - Angie Christo, MnMetro Chapter President
