A MESSAGE FROM OUR 2018 CONFERENCE DIRECTOR

Friends,

Many of us have been on the journey with self-advocates for a while now, striving to make sure every opportunity for independence or supported living is achieved. There are so many challenges - funding, resources, and information on available options, staffing needs, and adult readiness. Often, self-advocates are ready for their independence before parents are ready to see them go!

The process can be exhausting and difficult. Making it harder still is the fact that no one source has been offering answers and guidance on how to get there.

To provide a way forward, we've been asked to share some best practices that will accelerate the journey, and perhaps increase the confidence and knowledge required to proceed.

Join us on May 14 th and gather with experts, self-advocates and family members who are all willing to share their experience, strength and hope with you. We'll discuss housing, financial, and vocational options - but most of all we'll have a dialogue about purpose and passion. Providing quality living options that support an inclusive and dignified community for all is what we demand.

Don't miss out. Seating is limited, and we will sell out. See details in the flyer. Hope to see you there.

Best,
Mari-Anne Kehler
