On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Masorti Foundation for Conservative Judaism in Israel, and the thousands of members of the Masorti Movement in Israel, we note with great sadness the passing of Rabbi Daniel Allen, z”l.
Rabbi Allen successfully guided the Foundation as its President from 2000 to 2002, playing an essential role as a builder of Masorti (Conservative) Judaism in Israel.
Rabbi Allen’s tremendous love of the Jewish People and Israel, his deep devotion to Zionism, and his outstanding leadership in numerous areas of Jewish communal life made a tremendous impact on countless lives.
We extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, Mary Lou, and his entire family. May Danny’s memory be a blessing and a comfort to his family, his friends and the entire community.
