Pumpkins, Peace and Police

Join Global Engagement and Ohio State's Police Division in celebrating autumn. Police officers will be available to talk and answer any questions you may have. Plus, pumpkin treats, coffee and cider will be provided! The event will take place next to Enarson Classroom Building on October 18, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Participate in Taste of OSU 2019

Ohio State international student organizations are invited to apply to participate in Taste of OSU 2019. Organizations can participate in the following ways: preparing international foods, displaying cultural booths, performing interactive activities or performing on stage. Taste of OSU 2019 will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Ohio Union. Those interested in applying, please read the student participation guidelines and apply before the deadline on November 2 at midnight.

Circleville Pumpkin Show 2018

Global Engagement will be going to the 2018 Circleville Pumpkin Show on Friday, October 19. The Circleville Pumpkin Show is considered the largest festival dedicated to pumpkins.The deadline to register is October 15, 12 p.m. Space is limited and seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Plan to meet at the Ohio Union bus turnaround (12th Avenue) by 4 p.m. Make sure to bring money for food and souvenirs. This event is for Ohio State students only.

Global Engagement Night

Global Engagement Night invites international and domestic students to participate in cross-cultural discussions about different regions of the world and share their thoughts on topics affecting all college students. Global Engagement Night takes place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building. The next Global Engagement Night will be on October 16, and the topic of discussion will be U.S. Territories. Snacks will be provided!

International Film Series: I Am Not A Witch

The Office of International Affairs collaborates with the Gateway Film Center to host a monthly international film series. Students have the chance to view films from around the world for free! The next film will be, "I Am Not A Witch," and it will be shown on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center. Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because the first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda! Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public. Contact Renée Bishai with questions.

Halloween Party at the Office of International Affairs

Students are invited to join the Office of International Affairs' 2018 Halloween Party on October 23, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in 140 Enarson Classroom Building. Come in your best costumes and enjoy food, music and games. There will also be pumpkin carving, a costume contest and trick-or-treating! Families and friends are welcome.

Student Life's Wellness Assessment

The Wellness Assessment supports the mission of Student Life, which aims to promote wellness among Ohio State students and their communities. This in-depth survey addresses the 9 dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, social, etc.), to allow you to learn about your well-being, and the resources available to you as a student! If you complete this assessment during the month of October, you will automatically be entered for a chance to win a Fitibit or $25, $50 or $75 in BuckID Cash. Visit go.osu.edu/WA to complete the assessment.

Apply to Became A Resident Advisor

Resident Advisors (RAs) are peer leaders who supervise students living in the residence halls. The application is now open and will close on Friday, November 9, 11:59 p.m. RAs must be enrolled as full-time students during their terms of employment and be in good standing with the university. As well, RAs must have completed 24 credit hours prior to starting the role and be at least in their second year.
