Ontario Sailing is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization committed to the promotion and development of all aspects of boating and sailing. Ontario Sailing consists of over 200 member clubs, sailing schools, camps, charters & affiliates who represent over 10,000 member families. Ontario Sailing is the recognized provincial sport governing body responsible for sailing within the province of Ontario, and a member of Sail Canada, the national governing body.

Nature & Scope
Ontario Sailing is seeking a Program Facilitator to join our team. Individuals in this role will have hands on responsibility for implementing a variety of programs and events all aimed at promoting the sport of sailing throughout Ontario. This position will require a professional team player that does not mind rolling their sleeves up to work with the entire staff team on various programs, special events and communications related to the promotion of sailing across Ontario.

Ontario Sailing Board Nominations are Now Being Accepted!

Ever thought about what it would be like to be a board member with Ontario Sailing?
Well, here's your chance!
The Ontario Sailing Nominations Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Board of Directors. Ontario Sailing's Board of Directors is comprised of a very diverse group of dedicated volunteers. Ontario Sailing encourages representatives from northern Ontario to apply.
From the Board Mandate:
Purpose
The purpose of the Board is to set the overall direction of the Association through setting goals, determining policies, securing resources and monitoring the organizations' performance.
Duties
(As set out in the By-laws) The Board shall be responsible for initiating and developing programs and activities to carry out the purposes of the Association and to supervise and direct the Executive* and the administrative activities of the Association.
Term
The term of Office shall be three (3) years at which time the incumbent is up for re-election.
Time Commitment
- Attendance at all Board Meetings, either in person or by phone, potentially up to 12 meetings/year
- Being involved in Committee work
- Attendance at our Celebration of Sailing Fundraising Event
- Representing Ontario Sailing at Regattas and Clubs

2018 Ontario Sailing Award Nominations are NOW OPEN!
Ontario Sailing would like to recognize the outstanding achievements and significant contributions of sailors, athletes, coaches, instructors, and regattas that have impacted the sailing community. Do you have a deserving recipient in mind? Nominate them today!
Awards will be presented at the Ontario Sailing Annual General Meeting on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Airport & Conference Centre.

Request a Race Management or Club Judge Course today!
Ontario Sailing is encouraging member organizations to request Level 1 Assistant Race Officer, Level 1&2 (Club) Race Officer, and/or Club Judge courses.
The committees are now accepting applications from Ontario Sailing member organizations to host courses in the upcoming winter and/or spring.
This will aid Ontario Sailing and the committees to streamline potential overlaps (e.g. 4 courses being requested in the Toronto area resulting in cancellations of some courses due to low enrollment) and allow the committees to plan their seasonal course schedules in advance.
