December 2018 Updates
Before the end of the year, be sure to donate to Utah Health Policy Project to support our work and our 2019 efforts to defend the Proposition 3 Medicaid expansion:
UHPP'S Annual Conference was a SUCCESS!
Thank you to everyone that came to our conference last week! We had wonderful panelists and speakers there to celebrate Medicaid expansion in Utah and guide us through implementation on April 1st, and update on other healthcare topics affecting Utahns.

We will be sending out a conference update with more pictures, slides, and summaries of the panels.

We hope everyone left with helpful information, especially the Department of Health saying as per the law requests, they are targeting April 1st for full Medicaid expansion !
2018 Open Enrollment is Over
Open enrollment just ended in Utah and our office was busier than ever. While we do not have the final enrollment numbers yet, the last data release showed that Utah was trending above other states in Marketplace enrollment. Even in the face of general confusion and sabotage, Utahns need access to affordable health insurance.
UHPP goes to Chicago
Last week, UHPP's Policy Analyst, Stacy Stanford, traveled to Chicago to the Centering Care Conference, sponsored by the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs to present on a plenary titled " The Next Generation of Movement Builders ". We will share the panel video when it becomes available.
Upcoming Events
  • January 17th Action Utah is hosting an informative event on effective lobbying strategies
  • January 28th is the first day of 2019 Legislative session!
  • We aren't done celebrating yet.... a Proposition 3 advocate's party will be held January 28th, most likely in the evening. Save the date! Details coming soon.
