"
I am truly your merciful Mother, yours and all the people who live united in this land and of all the other people of different ancestries, my lovers, who love me, those who seek me, those who trust in me. Here I will hear their weeping, their complaints and heal all their sorrows, hardships and sufferings."

From Mrs. Rowley
We had a special guest at our school today - Santa himself came to visit and to thank us for collecting toys for children who will spend Christmas in local hospitals. Santa brought an entourage with him, which included several police officers on their motor cycles!
Today we also paid a visit to the traveling image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and learned the story of Juan Diego. This evening we will enjoy the musical talents of our students at the annual Christmas concert. I look forward to seeing all of you here for this wonderful celebration.
Next Wednesday, December 19, we will have a green or red dress-down day for Catholic Charities. Minimum donation is $1. Catholic Charities does so much for the needy all year long, but especially at this time of year.
Please note: our school will be closed for Christmas beginning the afternoon of Dec. 20 and resuming on Jan. 3.
Have a great last school week for 2018!

ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety
On Thursday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m. (snow date: Tuesday, January 29th) in the Woodson Auditorium, join us for a free screening of ANGST, a film about anxiety, truth & hope.
This documentary is for all parents of students in grades K-12 and students over the age of 13.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health challenge in the U.S., impacting 54 percent of females and 46 percent of males, with age seven being the median age of onset, according to the World Health Organization. While anxiety disorders are highly treatable, only one-third of those suffering receive treatment. Everyone involved in the development of "Angst" has a personal experience with anxiety - from the producers to the interviewees.
Representatives will be available after the screening to provide resources to support families.

From the Editor
Please make sure to read the Buzz every week. There's a lot of great things in it. Also, turn in your submissions! Submissions are due by Mondays by 5pm. I accept submissions from teachers, staff, and parents. If you know of something interesting going on in our community, or want to give a shout out to someone at the school, I'd love to add it to the Buzz. I especially love pictures. Please contact Mrs. Rowley to make sure that we have permission to publish pictures of every student in the picture. Pictures need to be less than 5 MB. Thanks so much!
