We had two great guest artists at SiNaCa last month, Carrie Iverson and Liss LaFleur.
Carrie was our guest artist for Open Studio Night and led a week long work shop creating imagery on glass. For Open Studio Night we incorporated some of her printing methods on to hot glass. In her class Carrie introduced two different printing methods to add images to glass in the kiln forming studio. The results that the students created were amazing. For spring gallery night we had guest artist Liss LaFleur work with us in the hot shop. Liss is a multimedia artist who doesn't work in glass. So it was a fun challenge bringing her visions to reality. We created blown glass jello and flame worked finger nail attachments. View some of the images from the day

We have new flame working curriculum classes finalized for both soft and borosilicate glass. Each of the classes are four weeks long, and are focused on creating solid fundamental skills. For more information use the following links.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Join us the second Friday of each month from 6p-9p as we host an open studio night at SiNaCa. This is your chance to find out more about the "magic" that goes in to creating glass art. As the artist creates their work we give you an interactive play by play, so you can understand better why they do what they do. Our on site gallery showcases our featured artist to give you a close up view of what they create. Its also the perfect time to find out how you can get involved in learning how to work with glass.
