Principal's Message
April 6,  2018
Dear Families and Friends of OLQP:
One of the most endearing attributes of childhood is wonder. As spring unfolds, the students are rediscovering the learning garden. They are busy digging, planting, and observing. Milkweed plants are filling the area reserved for butterflies. As the weeks progress, the garden will come to life with flowers, herbs, vegetables, and monarch butterflies. The children will experience the joy and wonder of watching the amazing transformation of the caterpillar when it emerges from its chrysalis as the butterfly and seeing their plants bear fruit.
Our Lord told us that to enter Heaven, we must become like "little children." As we celebrate Easter Week, we continue to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet in preparation for the great Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday. Our prayers this week have been guided by the words of St. Faustina and St. John Paul II the Great. As we contemplate God's merciful love for us, we, too, are filled with wonder. Our Lord calls us to trust in His mercy so that we can be transformed into people whose gardens bear the beautiful fruits of love and mercy for our families, our community, and the world.
Thank you for being part of the mission and ministry of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
Mrs. Marianne Mechura, M.Ed.
