Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Come celebrate Sport with us!


Join us on  Saturday May 11th  at the Kamloops Coast Hotel & Conference  Center  for an evening of celebration. 
 
Details of our evening include: 
  • Kamloops Sports Council Annual Athletic Awards presented along with the induction of the Kamloops Sport Hall of Fame inductees. 
  • We will have guest speaker Geroy Simon the BC Lions Director of Scouting as well a great lineup of Silent auction items.
Tickets will be available starting on March 4th at the Sandman Centre Box Office (cash or Cheques only)

Price: $50.00 plus GST ($52.50 total)

April 12-14th 

The Kamloops Legacy Performance Games will be taking place at multiple locations around the city.  
  • RugbyFest will be happening at Sahali Secondary, Valleyview Secondary, South Kamloops Secondary and Exhibition Park.  
  • Ultimate will be taking place at McArthur Island.
  • Pickleball will be happening at the courts at Riverside Park.
Free entrance to watch any of the games.

The 2019 Canadian Artistic Swimming Championships are coming to Kamloops!! This will be held at the Canada Games Aquatic Center from May 6-11th and they have sponsorship opportunities.  Follow the link below for more information if you are interested



Kamloops Rowing Club
" A Taste of Rowing"
 
The Olympic sport of rowing is a full body, low impact exercise. Join us in this two session clinic as we introduce you to the basics of the rowing stroke as you learn how to use the rowing machines at the Tournament Capital Center. 1st Session on LAND and 2nd Session on WATER.  Meet us at the Shumway Lake Water Sports Facility, home of the Kamloops Rowing Club, and climb into a 4-person rowing boat as you try your rowing stroke on the water.
 
Clinic Dates 
Land Session April 20th at the Tournament Capital Center 
Water Session May 4th at Shumway Lake

Registration & Session Times
 Look for this information in the Spring/Summer Parks and Recreation Booklet. Registered participants must attend both land & water clinic sessions.
Participants: Must be able to swim 50 M confidently and all ages welcome. 
Cost: $25 ( Register early as this two session clinic has limited seats available)

Thompson River Interior Paddle Club (TRIPS)

TRIPS has developed a Community Outreach Presentation which consists of a 20-minute PowerPoint and Videos, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. The first presentation will take place at the North Kamloops Library on Tuesday March the 5th at 6:30 pm. 
Free to interested participants.

Thompson River Interior Paddle Club Presentation on
 -the past and present story of paddling in the Kamloops Area
 -getting on the water, former paddlers and new paddlers

Presenters: Darryl Spencer, Paddle Canada certified, TRIPS Club Chair; and Keiran Rankin, Recreational Canoe B.C member, TRU  Adventure Guide Program Graduate.

Registration Requested but Drop-Ins are welcome.
 
As a second chance to catch this interesting presentation it will be taking place at the Downtown Library Wednesday March 13th at 6:30pm.
Free to interested participants.
 
TRIPS developed this Presentation to have an awareness/educational vehicle to offer various Groups in and around Kamloops.

Kamloops Rattlers Minor Lacrosse are in search of 
Volunteers !! 
They will be hosting two tournaments in May and they need your help. 
  • The 1st Tournament is the Alan Price memorial for peewee aged players and runs from May 3rd- 5th.
  • The 2nd Tournament is the Karsten Huth memorial for Bantam aged players and runs from May 10th-12th
All games will be played at McArthur Island Arena's. 
They are looking for volunteers that can run the score clock, record goals/ penalties on game sheets as advised, sell 50/50 tickets and have a check in desk.  If you are interested in volunteering please be in contact with Scott Abel at (778) 808-6089 or by email scottabel80@gmail.com 


Goggle Soc

Josh Gray, Co- Founder of the Goggle Soc is running an initiative alongside the First Nations 
Snowboard Team.
The goal is to raise funds for the charity by way of a custom goggle soc.  The soc will be sold on the website.  If you are interested in this please the website with the link posted here.





We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSportâ„¢ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
 
KidSport Kamloops is a local chapter of KidSport Canada.  Funds raised locally are spent locally and are distributed as grants to cover registration and/or equipment fees associated with participation in a season of sport.
