Season's Greetings!
This is only a four-day school week for the students as there is no school on Friday, December 21. However, Friday is still a teacher workday as they compile student grades for the second nine-week quarter. The Winter Break will then run from Monday, December 24 through Friday, January 4. Classes will resume on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Thank you to everyone that supported our SGA Toy Drive these past two weeks. A number of elementary school children are about to have a much brighter holiday season thanks to our Lake Nona school community. Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
I know many of our families will be traveling over the Winter Break beginning next weekend. Even if you are just out and about here in Orange County, please remember to buckle up and drive safely. We want all of our Knights to have a wonderful, but safe holiday season.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Stephanie R. Jackson, M. Ed.
Principal, Lake Nona Middle School
Always remember Knights, if you ever see or hear anything suspicious or unusual, please mention it to any teacher, coach, or staff member right away.
Thank you.

Our Carolers were busy this past week entertaining the Lake Nona Community with Yuletide music. They visited neighboring elementary schools (Eagle Creek, North Lake Park, and Primrose); the Watercrest Assisted Living Center; and the Veterans Community Living Center. They also provided a big musical welcome for Publix shoppers as they heard our Carolers sing and entertain during this most musical season of the year!
|
It is important for students to learn proper performance and audience etiquette, as well as experience the feel of a piano versus a keyboard.
Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to perform for one another on a concert piano. Mini class recitals will be presented during the course of the year. Performance is a vital part of the music curriculum as it showcases the knowledge gained during the course. Parents were invited this past week to a piano recital showcasing student performances.

The LNMS staff was invited by Ms. Guyton (2D art teacher) to make a clay ornament after school. Their creations were one-of-a-kind that they can enjoy for years to come with fond memories and joy laughing with each other. Thanks Ms. Guyton, great idea!

LIA salutes those that help to provide a safe and clean learning environment each and every school day for our Knights!
Our LIA students sponsored a breakfast for our bus drivers, custodians, and safety crosswalk guards. The students dressed in holiday Santa hats served their special guests and showered them with attention. The LNMS jazz band also entertained with seasonal music selections.
