Love your neighbor
by Nancy Johnson

I was pondering the commandment to "Love your neighbor as yourself" while it was being read in church recently.  I have known this my entire life, but what does it mean to me?  Love is a feeling, but feeling lovingly towards someone is not enough.  It doesn't mean anything without some action involved in loving someone.  Hugging is an action as is feeding, clothing, guiding, teaching, listening, etc.  As you probably know, I am an action person for, hopefully, the good of others, especially involving food.  Actually all of our Jubilee Ministries are action ministries, click here to continue reading...

For those who served during Holy Week
Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who participated in worship,
planning, hospitality, and music during our Holy Week services. It is a parish-wide effort to celebrate our High Holy Days, and we appreciate all those who served in this way.

Thank you Chuck Wolterink!
Chuck has served as our organist during this transition time, and we so appreciate his stepping in to the role on very short notice, and supporting and leading our Chancel Choir prior to the arrival of Jason Hubbard and Karin Willman.

Thank you from Maxcie
I would like to thank the "Army of Angels" who made the last ten days a time of celebration; starting with Palm Sunday's memorial for Judy Hoeffler, the entire Easter Celebrations and our recent tea/reception for Sue Bennett. You know who you are - the new people and the old - have gone over and above.  Thank you so very, very much. God Bless all of you. Maxcella

Turn in your Oleson's receipts to benefit the Grace Food Pantry!

Oleson's Community Share Program

Here's how it works:
  1. You shop at Oleson's for groceries (liquor sales do not qualify for points)
  2. Turn in your receipts to the church.  Look for the envelope on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall, and place your receipts inside it.
  3. We submit receipts back to Oleson's
  4. We are granted cash rewards for the food pantry ($1 spent on groceries = 1 cent in Community Share points)

For every $5000 in receipts we submit, we receive $50 in cash for our food pantry.  Every little bit helps!

Thank you for participating!
