Dear Parents,

Happy Spring! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter. Let us remember that Spring brings new life and growth. It restores the beauty of God's creation. This season in the Church brings us hope and grace to start anew through prayer and penance.

We look forward to seeing the bright colors come back as Nature renews itself. It reminds us of the Glory of God. We are thankful to Jesus for all the sacrifices He made to renew our faith and give us a chance for eternal life in Heaven.

Quote from Pope Francis:

"Christ is resurrected, we can look with new eyes and a new heart at every event of our lives."

Faithfully yours,

Miss Giaquinto

News From The Nurse

Dear Parents,

Spring has just begun and here are a few reminders as we move closer to the end of this school year.
  • Water Bottles: Please take a moment to check your child's backpack/lunch box and locate their water bottle. If their water bottle has been misplaced, appears cracked or does not look like it will last until the end of June, now is a good time to replace it. As the weather warms up, it is very important for your child to have their own water bottle and remain hydrated while at school.
  • Ticks/Lyme Prevention  The grounds at school will be treated for Ticks, however, please continue to inspect your child after being outdoors and make this a part of your daily routine.
  • Medications: Please remember to touch base with the nurse if your child needs their medication before recess and or PE. All medications must be replaced prior to the expiration date. Please send in a replacement ASA
  • Food Allergies: Our school remains a Nut-Free Zone, due to severe Food Allergies. Cheese Dust Products (Smart food, Pirate Booty, Cheez-its, Doritos, and Gold Fish - flavors that leave a residue on fingers), are Not permitted in certain class rooms, due to severe Dairy allergies. Please check labels before sending snacks into school and/or contact me regarding class rooms with Cheese Dust allergies.

Please report all absences to me at (203) 377-7041 or email: [email protected]

Tips to Stay Healthy:
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap & water or use Purell/hand sanitizer.
  • If your child is sick, keep him/her home from school.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
  • DO NOT share food or drinks with others.
  • Stay away from people who are sick.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping to keep our school community healthy!

Nancy Hogan, RN
