Make the Most of Your Library...Limiting by Format
With the 2019 Academy Awards just behind us, you may want to catch up on a few of the winning movies you missed in the theaters--or perhaps just take in an old favorite film. You probably know that your Pinal County Libraries offer thousands of DVDs or Blu-Rays that you can check out for free, but did you know how easy it is to find a list of all those titles? Or to find the specific title you want in the format you need?

The library makes it easy with our handy format limiter!

After you run any search in our catalog, you will find a "Limit by" drop-down menu at the top of the page. Use this to tell the catalog to show you only the DVDs or only the Blu-Ray Discs. (You can also use it to find other formats, like large-print titles, maps, or music CDs).

For a more advanced search, try clicking the blue "Catalog" button on our homepage, then click the "Search" tab and select Advanced. This will give you a search form where you can combine search terms and limiters to find more specific items, such as a list of Spike Lee movies on Blu-Ray that featured Samuel L. Jackson, or of films on DVD that starred Christian Bale and Amy Adams.

The discussion will be followed by a free showing of a recent movie, with subtitles enabled for the hearing impaired. Popcorn and water will be available free while supplies last. You are welcome to bring snacks and soft drinks.
