This has been a very cold and white winter so far. This month's parent council update has a little green to brighten up the winter!
Greening Committee Update
The Greening Committee is thrilled to share the final approved Yard Development plan. Please see the drawing of the new design by clicking here. Thank you again to all the parents who shared their opinions on our survey and to those who attended the meetings at TCDSB and our last parent council meeting. We feel all parent and student feedback is well reflected in this plan:
We will have green!
We will have shade!
And we will have Turf!
But most of all, we will have added benefits to recess with endless possibilities for outdoor learning and physical activities with new options to utilize this space in ways we have not been able to in the past. Construction is set to begin at the end of this school year, and we are aligned with the school board to have this project completed before the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year.
Exciting times ahead! Please check our newsletter each month as we will communicate updates on the plan, information around the maintenance of this new space by CSPC and ways you can get involved. Rose Reisman Catered Lunch Update
The trial run has seen over 40 orders each week so far, so it looks like we will be able to continue the lunches beyond the trial period. We hope the kids have enjoyed the lunches so far.
You can order for multiple weeks at a time and can cancel up to 8am the day of the lunch for a credit to be granted. If you would like to sign up, go to this site: www.kidslunch.ca and use the school password: SC97. The deadline to place an order for a Monday lunch is the previous Thursday at midnight.
