Journey through the Amazon Jungle

Come listen to a local resident's experience traveling by boat through the Amazon Jungle to remote areas. Kathy Rollins made two trips to Brazil in 2018 to see different parts of the Amazon Jungle. Join us to hear about the trip, see the amazing pictures and ask questions about traveling in the jungle.
All are welcome.  No registration.  No cost.

Spring Used Book and Handmade Bake Sale

April 27 / General Public Super Sale - Fill a bag of books for $5.00!

The book sale is run by the Friends of the Springfield Township Library and all proceeds directly benefit the library.  The Friends generously sponsor events, equipment purchases and much needed materials.  If you're interested in getting involved, there are a number of ways you can do that.  

1. Donate a Homemade Baked Good (sign up in the Friends store).
2. Donate your time by volunteering to help with the sale (sign up in the Friends store).
3. Donate gently used books (please no text books, ripped up, stained or stinky materials).

The next Friends meeting is on March 26th at 1:00.  The meeting is open to all.

Drop-In Storytimes

No need to register!  Bring the little ones up to the library to hear a story!  No cost.  
All are welcome.
Story Times for Little Ones

Sign up today by calling 248-846-6550!  Classes are limited in size.

Storytimes will feature music, stories, crafts, and friends!  These free sessions are a great way to introduce young children and toddlers to a classroom-like environment, provide early literacy exposure and encourage social learning.

Little Me (Ages 2.5 - 4 yrs old) Mondays at 10:15AM
Toddler Time (Ages 10 months - 30 months) Tuesdays at 10:15AM

No cost, but please register.
Friends of the Library - 2019 Meeting Schedule

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that provides funding for library materials, programs, events and equipment.  Meetings are open to anyone interested and take place at 1:00 at the library.

Join us for this fun and informal book club!  We meet the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:00. Pick up the book from the checkout desk, read it, and come share your impression.

Informal friendly group!  No registration necessary!  Come share what you're working on.  Knitting, quilting, crochet, cross-stitch, or any other needlework welcome.
