Glenn Highway MP 53-56 Reconstruction 
Moose Creek Canyon
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is making progress to re-align and straighten the three-mile section of the Glenn Highway from milepost 53 to 56 and construct a new bridge over Moose Creek.

This project's design is currently approximately 85% complete with Geotech and cultural resources fieldwork taking place in 2020. T he Right of Way (ROW) and residential property acquisition phase is underway . DOT&PF is contacting affected property owners as part of the ROW process. The 2020 summer field season also includes cultural resource evaluation and archeological research.

Public meetings will be scheduled in late 2020 for project communication and public outreach as the project progresses.
