Keeping Up With LT Alumni

John GaidooLawrence North Class of 1993, was featured in Modern Counsel magazine as a mentor to other attorneys and one who fosters diversity in the workplace. John is an assistant general counsel and leader of the global labor and employment team at Cummins, a diesel and alternative fuel engines and generators company. Congratulations to Brandon LeeLawrence Central Class of
2014, on graduating from the University of Missouri with his MBA. Brandon is also a 2018 graduate of Mizzou with a bachelors in personal finance. During his tenure at Missouri, Brandon served as a member of the Mizzou football team, where he was a four-year letterman and three-year starter at linebacker. Brandon recently accepted an internship with the NCAA, joining the Academics and Membership Affairs department. 

Britney PaddyLawrence North Class of 2012, graduated from the University of Denver in 2018 and became the only Caribbean student to graduate from the counseling psychology program. Soon after graduation, Britney moved to Oregon where she became a registered LPC intern with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. Britney is currently a mental health investigator, where she gets to work in conjunction with the judicial system. Britney is also a co-Executive Director for The World is Watching, which is a global coalition demanding concrete actions to end systemic racism in the United States. Britney takes pride in being able to represent people of color in mental health and law. 


Congratulations to Kaitlyn (Rayburn) Sheridan, Lawrence Central Class of 2009, and Spencer Sheridan, Lawrence Central Class of 2008, on their new addition! Myles Ray Sheridan made his debut on July 1, 2020.

Maria Martinez, Lawrence Central Class of 1972, passed in July 2020 and is being remembered for being a trailblazer in San Francisco. A health advocate, an art lover and art activist, and a cultural and community activist are just a few of the many hats she wore. Extend Your Helping Hands
 
Are you looking for ways to get involved in Lawrence Township? Why not extend your helping hands! There are many ways for you to get involved and impact Lawrence Township students through the Lawrence Township School Foundation. Opportunities vary from volunteering in the Clothing Pantry, serving on a Committee, or staffing an event. Get involved today by visiting the Foundation website to sign up and learn more!

The Foundation is looking for volunteers for the FORE the Kids Golf Outing on Sept. 3. If you're interested, please fill out this form. Shifts are as follow: 7:30am-9am, 9am-12pm, and 12pm-3pm.
United Way Spirit United Award
 
The MSD of Lawrence Township is the first K-12 recipient of the 2020 United Way of Central Indiana Spirit United Award! The Spirit United Award celebrates the commitment, leadership, and achievement of local organizations that make a positive impact in the community.
