Weekly Letter From Our Pastor

Make a Difference, Change the World
This week I participated in something I never dreamed I'd be doing as a pastor. Wednesday evening Living Water hosted an Active Shooter training event for the families of our community. Weekly public shooting events continue to leave a lengthy trail of victims and grieving survivors. Presenters Mike Judy and Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald were present to ask our help in stopping these events before they begin and limiting their damage should we ever encounter this form of evil.

One of many questions I brought to this event was this: Should something this terrible happen and I am present, what difference can I possibly make?

It's a question that fits many scenarios: world hunger, crime, drug abuse, poverty...the list is long. "What difference can I make," we ask, "I'm only one person."

This weekend we launch a new 4-week message series: "Make a Difference, Change the World." Four weeks of exploring the unlimited transforming power available to followers of Jesus, when facing the seemingly overwhelming challenges of this complex and broken world. Hope to see you all, this Sunday.

Living for Jesus!

-Ned
