Around the Square                                        March  2019

The best way to welcome March is by dining local and savoring the many flavors and special menus of Kennett Square's first-ever Kennett Square Restaurant Week, through March 3rd. Check out the fantastic menu options  and head uptown for a romantic dinner for two, a leisurely meal with friends (with or without live music), or a quick but delicious bite with the whole family. And if the storm that blew us into February meant you missed the gala opening of Square Pear Gallery's Food, Wine, and Good Times , it's not too late. Square Pear's gala closing reception this Friday, March 1st, will feature jazz by the Al Moretti Trio and a last chance to see this fabulous show. The long-anticipated opening of Braeloch Brewing is also this Friday, March 1st, with a grand opening weekend celebration beginning March 8th.

As spring takes a hint from the emerging daffodils, there's lots to look forward to here in Kennett Square. Soak in the beauty of Longwood Gardens' Orchid Extravaganza before it closes on March 24, and mark your calendars for Student Art on the Square, March 29th to 31st. This impressive show wraps up Youth Art Month and showcases the incredible talent of K-12 students from six area school districts.

Speaking of Kennett Square Restaurant Week and #deliciousKSQ, Historic Kennett Square is delighted to serve up another story of a local business owner in the monthly  "Meet Our Merchants"  series. Their creativity and vision are at the heart of what makes Kennett Square so special. This month, meet Molly Johnston of Nomadic Pies, beloved local pie queen, mother of two, and one of Kennett Square's many phenomenal female entrepreneurs.

We loved all the local love shared during February's #loveitlikealocal campaign. Please continue to #loveitlikealocal all year long by supporting our independent, locally owned small businesses and restaurants. #shopKSQ #deliciousKSQ
