The Indian digital gaming industry is growing rapidly, with  behemoths like Alibaba backed-Paytm, Tencent, Youzu and Nazara investing in it. One of the  top five countries  for mobile gaming in the world, the industry is already worth over  $890 million . And w ith the demand for games on an upward curve, the country now has more than 250 game development companies, up from a mere 25 in 2010, with at least two startups coming up every month.

Indian architect Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi won this year's Pritzker Prize, the top award in the field of architecture. Doshi, who is based in Ahmedabad, is renowned for creating well-designed low-cost housing, answering a crucial need in India.

The Young Guns from India Who Cracked Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List
 

India headlined at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia compilation this year - gaining 65 of the total 300 finalists on the prestigious list, higher than any other country. Given the current median age of 27 in India, this should be of little surprise, the editors write. The field includes Rahul and Raja Gayam of Gayam Motor Works, Bobble Keyboard co-creator Ankit Prasadis and actress Anushka Sharma.

India has designated several famous tourist sites, such as the Taj Mahal, as "iconic destinations," a move that will aid their development and promotion. The Government will improve the sites' infrastructure, develop their technology, increase branding and marketing and seek private investment.
