Boca Raton listed in the
"2018 Top Best Places to Live"
 
Livability.com “ranked nearly 2,300 cities on more than 40 data points measuring economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and health care”, and named Boca 45th in the Top 100 Places to Live. They boasted that “abundant economic growth, higher education and the arts community” combine to make Boca Raton a great community to live
"Your Success Is Our Success" Tour
The Office of Economic Development launched a new initiative to celebrate our valued corporate partners. Our first “Success Tour” was held in February and was attended by Mayor and Council Members. Appreciation Awards were presented to the CEO’s of two local corporations headquartered in Boca Raton.

Boca earns an “A”

Boca Raton earned an “A” rating in a satisfaction survey conducted by Apartment List—considering factors such as are job opportunities, safety, commute time and social life.
The website surveyed 45,000 renters and asked them to rate their City from 1 to 10 in various categories. One respondent stated, “ I love Boca .”

Mayor and City Council, Presidents of FAU and Lynn University and Palm Beach County Commissioner Steven Abrams were on hand for the Ribbon Cutting.
This infrastructure update will help to facilitate traffic flow from the 28,000 students and faculty members that travel to and from FAU and Palm Beach State College each day.

The Research Part at FAU, the Tech Runway and many other companies being launched at this hub will greatly benefit from this construction by alleviating congestion on and near Glades Road.

Our "Good. Better. Boca." campaign has begun. We have developed a rack card that will share our message along with magnets (top photo) used to share the good news.
Connected Warriors Headquarters Ribbon Cutting
Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie, Council Members and special guests cut the ribbon on the new facility located at 4950 Communication Avenue, Suite 115 in Boca Raton.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility
City officials and staff were treated to a "sneak-peek" of the new U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility at the Boca Raton Airport. The new facility will open our City to international business and tourism travelers.

  • According to ProLinks Sports 68,000 people attended the 2018 Boca Raton Championship.

  • The Office of Economic Development commercial which featured three local corporate CEO's aired nationwide on the Golf Channel throughout tournament play.

  • Realterm Logistics acquired the 84,000 square foot warehouse at 1101 Clint Moore Road for $16 million.

  • The Boca Raton Championship returned to Boca Raton for another great year. Mark Calcavecchia won the 12th Annual event at the Old Course at Broken Sound.

  • Recently renovated rental apartment complex at 850 Boca at the Park at Broken Sound sold for $138 million.

  • The Office of Economic Development commercial featuring 3 local ECO's aired on ESPN during the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl to 1.4 million households.

  • Phoenix Tower International headquartered in Boca Raton, acquired 215 additional wireless communication tower sites from Digicel.

  • The 176,509 square foot, Marriott at Boca Center sold for $69.3 million. This price equates to $270,703 per room.

  • Niche.com ranked neighborhoods in South Florida - they ranked Boca Raton as the 11th best neighborhood in the region.
