So Beautiful
Katie Kinnison preaching

Since last Sunday you have been here working on our heating and cooling system. You have delivered food to people who would have been hungry. You have studied the word of the Living God, trying to find the gold you need to live a joyful and generous life. You have wiped the noses of fidgeting two-year-olds and watched a four-year-old light up as he learned about dinosaurs. You have prayed for someone in the hospital and held someone who was weeping. You have offered a safe place for people whose lives are touched by addiction to come and share their stories. You have beamed upon a family and fed them cookies and tutored their children. You have gone downtown to learn more about the fight against human trafficking. You have asked questions about how we might better care for one another and about what our people really need from this season of Lent.
You have been the Church, this holy and messy and precious body of Christ, many parts knit together in a Love that will not let us go.
We don’t wait until Sunday around here for us to do Church , for us to be Church.
But, oh, you don’t want to miss this Sunday. This Sunday we get to be together and come to the table Jesus hosts, the one where all are welcome. This Sunday we get to savor buttery pancakes and watch children dance, while our elders lick syrup off their own sticky fingers. This Sunday we get to play and to share and to offer and to become together.
Join us. Be church. Make our joy complete.

Yours on the journey,
Katie

Interim Pastor Search
Covenant’s Interim Pastor Nominating Committee is hard at work looking at candidates. The committee members are Beth Askue, Kim Halsey, Linda Billman, Charlie Bergmann and Rusty Miller. It is hoped the fulltime Interim, with a likely tenure of 12-18 months, can be on the job this spring. He or she will be charged with leading worship services, guiding the Covenant staff and Session and helping Katie with weddings, funerals and hospital visits. The Interim will oversee the transitional period until a new, permanent Pastor is in place. Please pray for those working on the Interim Nominating Committee and, in time, the Pastor Nominating Committee. In the meantime, Katie Kinnison will be acting head of staff until our gap pastor, Don Hilkerbaumer, arrives March 21.

Pave The Way Update
The youth would like to thank the congregation for their generous support of the Pave the Way fundraiser. We are thrilled to announce we have reached our fundraising goal due to your generosity. We are looking forward to our trip this summer and the opportunity to learn and grow together. We will continue to gladly accept donations as we will be saving for future trips. Thank you so much for believing in our youth, for supporting them financially and through prayer. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for your love, support, and encouragement. We can't wait to come back and share our stories and experiences with our church family.
2019 Per Capita is $35.75 Per Member
Each member of Covenant is also a member of the larger church, the Presbyterian Church USA. As such, it is part of our responsibility to support the work of the administrative bodies of the national church – the General Assembly, the Synod, and the Presbytery. We do this by making a per capita payment each January which for 2019 is $35.75 per member. We invite you to pay your share of the per capita so that this money does not need to come from this year’s budget. Your contribution will free up funds for other vital church programs that meet the spiritual needs of our congregation. Envelopes are on the welcome table. Click here to securely give online.
Becoming A Member of Covenant
On the second Sunday of each month, people may become new members at any of our three services (8:30, 10:00, 11:00). Brochures with details are on the welcome table and our website . Contact: Katie Kinnison .
