Tax Form Information

One of the most common questions we get this season is "how do I find my 1095-B form for health insurance?"

To obtain that form, you will need to contact your insurance company directly. They do make it available online and may also mail it to you. You can log in to your member portal with your insurance company to download it, or call them using the number on the back of your ID card.

**Please be advised that CFI does not prepare taxes or give tax advice. If you have more questions about your 1095 forms, please visit the IRS page HERE.**
Daylight Savings Time and  Your Health

Daylight Savings Time
is on Sunday March 10, 2019.

When it comes to changing the clocks on our devices, technology has us covered. Our smartphones automatically adjust.

But our internal clocks aren't as easy to re-program, meaning that the time shift can influence our health in unexpected ways.

Here is how the change can impact your health and some simple tips to prepare:

Spotlight: Alternative Medicine and Health Insurance
alternative_medicine_2.jpg
About a third of U.S. adults use some form of alternative medicine, and most of them pay for it out of their own pocket.

Alternative  methods - from supplements to acupuncture - are used in preventive care as well as the treatment of chronic and acute conditions, but they often aren't covered by health insurance.

Health insurance coverage  for alternative medicine is a mixed bag, varying from policy to policy. Your best bet is to make some phone calls and ask the right questions before making an appointment with a practitioner.

Bloom Where You Are Planted
One of our favorite parts of being a part of our local community is volunteering. It offers a chance to give back, to meet amazing people, and to help others in a way we can't in our day to day jobs.

We encourage you to take some time for others this spring and volunteer.  Your heart and your community will be better for it.
