Elevate Your Elevator Speech
Sometimes we only have a few minutes to share information that could affect the future of what could be an important donor relationship. Sally Ann Moyer of Spaeth Communications will teach you how to make that all-important first impression memorable, and influence what your audience hears, believes and remembers.
Sally Ann Moyer is an expert on the benefits and risks of the new frontiers of communication, and shares her expertise with clients from all industries in Dallas and around the world. Sally Ann has stepped in for critical rehearsals with high-ranking executives, and assisted leaders with board presentations, press statements and other crucial communiques. She joined Spaeth Communications after graduating with honors from Baylor University. During college, she worked for the local chamber of commerce and wrote for university student publications. She earned several state-level awards for her writing and design work. Sally Ann is an active volunteer with the Junior League of Dallas, pace leader for the Dallas Running Club and social media coordinator for the Dallas Chapter of Young Catholic Professionals.

Can you believe it's already April? Here's the latest:
I am very excited about the
AFP International Conference in New Orleans coming up later this month. For those who will attend, please make plans to join us on Sunday, April 15th, when the Greater Dallas AFP will co-host a happy hour with other Texas chapters. Come by and say "Hello!"
Next, the deadline is fast approaching for
National Philanthropy Day award nominations. If you work with outstanding youth, philanthropists, volunteers, corporate partners or foundations, please honor them by filling out a
nomination form. What better way to recognize and steward your most important constituents?
Hurry...the deadline for nominations is April 16th!
Finally, you won't want to miss out on early bird rates for the

Isabelle, Katherine and Trinity Adams and their non-profit Paper for Water have raised more than $1.5 million to provide clean water to children in developing countries. Now they have been named the 2018 Carter Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy by AFP International. Isabelle and Katherine were the Greater Dallas AFP's Youth in Philanthopy honorees in 2012, when Isabelle and Katherine were only 8 and 10. Since then, the youngest Adams sister Trinity has joined the organization. Congratulations, Isabelle, Katherine and Trinity, you continue to make us proud!
Deborah Montonen, CFRE, is the new Chief Development Officer at the Mary Crowley Resesarch Center, congratulations, Deborah!
The Greater Dallas Chapter AFP has been named a 2017 Friend of Diversity by AFP International. Chapters will be recognized for this designation during the Chapter Presidents Council meeting at the AFP International Conference on Fundraising in New Orleans on Saturday, April 14th at 1:30 p.m.
