Announcements

Evening Prayer & Mid-Week Eucharist
Evening Prayer and  Mid-Week Holy Eucharist will take  place this week, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 11th and 12th.

Christmas Angels
Once again we will be providing Christmas gifts and food for families adopted from Delaware County Children and Youth Services and the Upper Darby  School D istrict.  On Sunday, November 18th, nametags were placed on a tree at the back of the church.  Please pick one or more gift tags off the tree, purchase a gift for that person, wrap it, place the tag on the package and return it on or before December 16th.  If you plan to buy more than one gift for the same person, take a tag for each gift.  Lists will be available with gift suggestions, clothing sizes, and food needed.  You will also find a master list.  If you know what you are going to get for a gift, cross it off the list so someone who has the same name will not duplicate it.  These are the poor families who struggle just to keep a roof over their heads and some have not even been able to do that.

Basic food staples will be needed for about 12 families as well as monetary contributions for food gift cards for meat and other perishables.  If you would like to make a monetary contribution, please make out a check to the church and mark it for the Christmas Angels.

On Sunday, December 16th, help will be needed after the 10:15 service to organize and pack everything for delivery.  A light lunch will be provided.

If you have any questions, call Jane Nyiri at 610-328-6506

Christmas Flowers
Available this Sunday at the rear of the sanctuary are forms and response envelopes for use in reserving Christmas flowers in honor/memory of loved ones. Please complete and return to the church office no later than December 16th.

Prayer Book

At the back of the church is a Prayer Book.
On the cover it says  "For those in need..."  In the book please write in the names of those who need our prayers. Please enter the name and the date (and reason, if you wish). At every Eucharist and at Evening Prayer, we will pray for those named in the book. After a month, the person's name will be removed from our prayers, unless it is entered anew.

Please pray for those who need healing and comfort:

Emma, Kim, Mathew, Rich P., Ruth, Ry, Joe Atkinson, Jan Briggs,
Betty Brown, Marlaine Kiesel Brown, Paolo di Leo, Flavia and Jesse Cugini, Steve Farrell, Wesly Furber, the Gallagher Family, Katie and Bob Grange, Richard Huber, Bob Mansure, Charlotte McLaughlin, Leslie Lennan,
David Petherbridge, Marjory Petherbridge, Peter Rosado, Dave Sheidy,
Bill Van Nice, Cele Watson, and those we hold in our hearts

Please pray for the departed O Lord, rest eternal grant unto them and let light perpetual shine upon them.

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servants, and give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs, that those for whom our prayers are offered may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,  one God,  now and forever.   Amen.

Altar Flower Dedications

Sponsoring our Sunday altar flowers is a great way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, remember a loved one who has passed, or mark any other special occasion.  The suggested donation is $60, which offsets the cost of the flowers provided by Leary's Florist.  If you wish to sponsor the flowers, please submit your name and preferred wording of the dedication to [email protected] or in a note placed in the offering plate.

Property Team
Things To Be Done Around Redeemer Notebook

If you notice something that needs attention around the campus (i.e. leaky toilet, broken light, etc.), please record it in the black & white  notebook in the Property Team's mailbox outside the church office.

Blue Gift
Gift of Angels

There are expenses that pop up that are not included in our annual operating budget, and this program covers those.

Your gift to the Gift of Angels program can be in the form of a monetary donation or a gift-in-kind and can be made in thanksgiving or in memory of someone. It can cover all or part of an item on the wish list.  All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.  You will receive recognition of your gift, and all gifts are recorded in our Book of Memorials and Gifts.

The Wish List currently includes: weed control supplies, buffer pads for a floor buffer, chairs for the Parish Hall, and a new BenQ Ht1070 projector ($600) to be used for our Christian education classes and movie nights.

Please make checks payable to Church of the Redeemer and designate Gift of Angels or your specific designation on the memo line.

Your consideration of support for this campaign is greatly appreciated!

Riddle Hospital's Hospice Comfort Cart

In an effort to improve the care they provide, Riddle Hospital has created a Comfort Cart for their patients who have been placed on hospice care.  The goal is to make each patient's room a calm environment while addressing the psycho-social and spiritual needs of patients and their families. They are seeking donations of prayer books and small bibles, religious items such as rosaries or icons; 3' x 4' blankets which are placed on the patients and taken home by the family after their loved one passes away. If you wish to help, please contact Stefanie McMahon at [email protected] or (484) 227-3240.
