REC Distributes Energy-Saving Trees
Each year, REC partners with the Arbor Day Foundation to distribute free energy-saving trees to members in REC's service territory. This year, nearly 200 consumer-owners visited the Ruckersville Volunteer Fire Department to pick up trees that will not only save them energy, but also help the environment.
Energy Action Month
REC celebrated Energy Action Month by sharing energy-conservation information, working to enhance the environment and partnering with our members to improve the communities we call home.
River Cleanup
REC employees spent a recent Sunday volunteering with Friends of the Rappahannock to pick up trash along the Rappahannock River. Along with other volunteers, they collected nearly two tons of trash, helping the environment and improving the community.
