Special Press Conference - This Monday!

Please join the Erie Women’s Fund (EWF) for a special press conference on Monday March 4, 2019! When? 10:00 AM Where? The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Transformational Philanthropy - 609 Walnut St., Erie, PA 16502. EWF will kick off their 2019 Major Grant RFP in celebration of Women’s History Month! This group currently seeks proposals for projects that address the self-sufficiency gap, by concentrating on basic minimum needs in specified areas. This grant could be a maximum of $100,000 and should be able to be completed within a 12-month time frame.  View full RFP details here!

The 2020 Census is Headed Our Way!

The US Census Bureau is in the process of accepting employment applications for the upcoming census and is also looking for space to train hired applicants. Interested applicants can learn more here. Potential venues must have WiFi access and have enough tables and chairs to accommodate 15-20 people. Please email Nancy Hersch at nancy.j.hersch@2020census.gov if you have space available. Two Erieites, Dave Heberle and Rick Scutella, wrote "The Complete Guide to Making Your Home Safe" in 1995. This book still provides sound, easy-to-read-and-understand discussions on keeping safe at home. Dave recently found many remaining copies of the book and would like to donate them to a local charity. Please contact him at 490-7636 if interested.
