Annapolis Veterinary Expansion Project

A veterinary clinic that offers pets oncology, neurology, opthamology and rehabilitation treatment has expanded into new space in Annapolis.

The Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center moved into a newly constructed, 28,000-square-foot clinic at 808 Bestgate Road near the Westfield Annapolis mall.

Fence & Deck Connection was excited to partner with St. John Properties to supply and install the commercial fencing, dumpster and utility enclosures for the new center. Continue below to see how we used four different types of fencing materials to complete this project.

Aluminum Fencing

Several retaining walls were built on the property as part of the development of the land and fencing was required to be installed on top for safety. Commercial grade black Alumi-Guard 3-Rail Ascot Aluminum fence was chosen both for it's strength and aesthetics.  We installed approximately 1195 linear feet of 42" high Alumi-Guard fence at this site.  All posts were set into the earth and set in concrete.  As you can see from the photos, the black color of the fence blends in nicely to the scenery behind it.

One of the highlights of this project includes a beautiful curved Aluminum fence surrounding the picturesque pavilion, creating a park-like environment for visitors of the center.

Dumpster Enclosure Gates

6 foot high by 12 foot wide double swing gates were installed on the front of the brick walled waste receptacle surrounds. The black steel posts are 6 inch by 6 inch square and set in concrete and concrete filled. Gates include  180 degree industrial hinges and a drop rod center latch . The frames of the gate are 2 inch square steel for reinforced strength. Fascia Boards of the gate are 1 inch by 6 inch cedar wood mounted to 2 inch by x 4 inch cedar runners. 



Outdoor MRI Enclosure Fencing & Gate

6 foot high Tongue & Groove Tan Vinyl privacy fencing with Nexus Rail finish was chosen for this section of the build because of it's crisp and clean appearance. This type of vinyl fencing also provides privacy while being low maintenance. This vinyl fence includes aluminum bottom rail stiffener providing extra strength for the vertical vinyl pickets against the elements. 6 foot high by 12 foot wide double swing gates were attached to 6 inch by 6 inch square black steel posts and set in concrete and concrete filled. Gates include 180 degree industrial hinges and a drop rod center latch . The frames of the gate are 2 inch square steel for reinforced strength.




Utility Enclosure & Gate

We installed chain link fencing and gate around the new building's gas tanks.  Approximately 80 linear feet of 6 foot high black chain link set into the earth and concrete. Fence includes one 4 foot wide walk gate with 180 degree industrial hinges and latch.
