Greetings!

Happy March!  We are gearing up for our first ever Health Equity Cohort, and want to sincerely thank everyone who applied.  We are grateful for the work that you do every day to advance health equity in your communities.

While we gear up for our Health Equity Cohort, CHTI will return with our broader community offerings in April.  In the meantime, we want to take this time to highlight some great partner events.  We encourage you to check them out, and we'll see you in April!

Thanks to generous funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, our trainings are always free.

SAVE THE DATE!
THIS YEAR'S OUNCE OF PREVENTION CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 2ND, 2019 AT THE DCU CENTER IN WORCESTER, MA.

A TRAINING FROM OUR PARTNERS!
Moving Along: How We Can Build More Physically Active Communities
Thursday, April 11th, 2019
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Online Training

Description:  Are you working to get your community more active? This online training will provide a broad overview of how our built environments can help or hinder physical activity and the actions we can take to address this. Our trainer will introduce a new, evidence-based tool created by the Physical Activity Policy Research Network Plus (PAPRN+) with actions that people working in public health can take to effect policy, systems, and environmental change (PSE) in their communities around active living. As a result of this training, participants will be able to assess the work they are already doing and strategically plan for more physically active communities.

Trainer:  Karin Valentine Goins, MPH, Research Project Director in the Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical School
