Top Banking Executive to Receive Melissa Aiello Character Award

In addition to her exemplary career achievements, Lori Chevy, Senior Vice President and Market President-Broward, Bank of America, exemplifies the character traits of spirit, empathy, strength, perseverance and integrity that are an integral part of a service leader. Lori is receiving the Melissa Aiello Character Award, which was created in 2015 in recognition of Melissa Aiello, the former CEO & President of Junior Achievement of South Florida who lived her life with integrity and honor.

On April 5, Lori and five other community leaders will be honored at our Diamond Anniversary Celebration, presented by Delta Air Lines. Tickets to the elegant event, sponsorship opportunities and commemorative journal ads on sale now.

JA Fellows Bootcamp Prepares
Teams for Spark Tank Finale

What an enlightening day! Our JA Fellows students recently gathered at JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion for their mid-year Bootcamp, presented by Broward College. It was an opportunity to hear guest speakers provide insightful tips that will help the teams prepare for the Spark Tank Finale on April 13th. 

Special thanks to  Enrique Triay of Broward College, Keynote Speaker Johnathan Robertson, Alex Llerena of Kellogg School of Management, Mike Greene of Message Makers LLC, Violet Lowery of Keiser University, Keith Willard of the Keith Willard Events, LLC and Dr. Avis Proctor of Broward College.

Junior Achievement of South Florida is one of several nonprofit organizations that will benefit from the Spirit of Giving's inaugural Community Spirit Race on Saturday, March 9. This will be a fun morning for businesses, families and friends to help raise much-needed funds to support JA and other local organizations.
