Sharsheret Expands Board Of Directors
We are proud to announce the expansion of our National Board of Directors as we welcome two new board members, Dr. Tammy Bryk and Dr. Martin Rosman.

Dr. Tammy Bryk, a retired orthodontist from Queens, New York, is an active Sharsheret volunteer who often serves as a peer supporter for women with breast cancer, races with Team Sharsheret, and chairs major Sharsheret fundraising events.

Dr. Martin Rosman, a retired oncologist from Edgewater, Maryland and Sarasota, Florida, served as Director of the Breast Cancer Research Group at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Breast Center in Annapolis, Maryland.

Sharsheret Opens New Office In Chicago, Marking Third Regional Office!
Sharsheret is pleased to announce the establishment of an Illinois regional office and the hiring of Illinois Regional Director Eve Kleinerman. Eve is responsible for providing community outreach and education about the unique issues of Jewish women and families at increased risk for hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers in the Chicago area and statewide. Eve joined Sharsheret in October 2018 and is laying the groundwork for an official office opening in early 2019. We are also seeking a full-time Program Coordinator. A huge thank you to everyone who bought or baked delicious treats and sponsored bakers for the 10 year anniversary of our Pies for Prevention Thanksgiving Bake Sale! We hosted bake sales in 29 cities in the United States, Canada and Israel, that brought in $80,000 to support Sharsheret's ovarian cancer program. A special thank you to sisters Sharon Wieder and Adeena Sussman, who created the Pies For Prevention Thanksgiving Bake Sale in memory of their mother and grandmother whom they lost to ovarian cancer, and oversee this incredible initiative every year. Florida And California Annual Galas!
Our Florida Gala will take place on Saturday night, December 15th at the Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach, Florida. Hundreds of men and women will gather to celebrate family members and friends, who have touched the lives of those facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer. This past Saturday night, December 1st, Sharsheret California held its annual celebration: "An Evening Of Love, Light and Life Under The Stars" at the home of Lisa and Josh Hofheimer in Los Angeles. The event brought together nearly 200 men and women, featured a live painting demonstration from Matt Hanover and Sharsheret Program Participant Laura Osman served as the guest speaker.
