RISE Germany

RISE Germany is a 10-12 week summer internship program for undergraduates in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, and computer science. Bachelor students receive the opportunity to work with researchers at universities and research institutions across Germany. The working language is English.  Apply by December 15th.

RISE Professional

RISE Professional offers summer research internships in Germany to Master’s and PhD students from North America at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry in the same fields as mentioned above. Apply by December 15th.

Learn German in Germany

DAAD offers grants to faculty members in all academic fields (except German Studies, German Language and Literature, and German Translation and Interpretation) to attend intensive language courses at various Goethe-Institut locations in Germany. Four-week courses are offered year-round.  Apply by January 31st, 2019.

NASA InSight lands on Mars

NASA InSight lander successfully arrived on Mars seven months after it began its journey in space to begin its study of the deep interior of the red planet. A number of European partners, including the German Aerospace Center, support the InSight mission.

German Future Prize 2018
Deutscher Zukunftspreis Awarded

This years's German Future Prize (Deutscher Zukunftspreis) was awarded to a team of researchers from North-Rhine Westphalia, who have succeeded in developing an anti-virus medication that protects against a specific virus during bone marrow transplant operation.
