Advocacy in Action: Dentists at the Capitol Day 2019
The CDA hosted its annual Dentists at the Capitol Lobby Day on Friday, Feb. 15. Lobby Day is a unique opportunity for dentists across Colorado to talk with legislators about the important issues that affect the dental community. This year, a group of 25 dentists and CU dental students lobbied state legislators on several issues. The group's overarching message to legislators highlighted dentists' expansive work to improve access and value over the last several years.
The state of Colorado has a Senior Dental Care program that provides reimbursement for low-income seniors to receive important preventive and restorative care, as well as dentures. This program is being considered for potential expansions. If you have participated as a care provider under this program, we ask for your feedback on program successes and potential improvements. Annual Call for Delegates and Officers
The CDA Annual Session is a weekend that combines leadership with CDA business, professional wellbeing and CE in a family-friendly location. This year,we're holding the meeting at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. This is a great opportunity to get involved with organized dentistry. Deadline Extended: Diversity in Leadership Program
The CDA created Diversity in Leadership to enhance the leadership skills of dentists of all backgrounds and to bring a variety of professional and personal experiences to our leadership team. Participants will develop leadership skills through an accelerated program of education, mentoring, and executive coaching. The deadline to apply has been extended to March 15.
